Acupuncture is a gentle and effective method of stimulating the body to heal itself. Our health depends on the balanced functioning of our body’s Qi (vital energy). When we are in optimum health, our Qi, or life force, flows harmoniously through our body along a system of pathways called meridians. Illness arises when the flow of energy becomes disturbed in one or more meridian and manifests in a diverse array of symptoms. Acupuncturists focus on creating a smooth flow of Qi through the body by inserting thin needles into specific points on a meridian called acupoints. In this way, imbalances or obstructions of energy in the meridians are corrected and associated symptoms are resolved.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) works with the craniosacral rhythm, which can be felt throughout the entire body as a slow wave-like motion. This rhythm is caused by the circulation of the cerebrospinal fluid, which bathes and nourishes the brain and nervous system. The health and vitality of the body can be felt in this rhythmic motion of the cerebrospinal fluid. By gently touching areas of the head, torso and limbs, the practitioner can tune into the rhythmic fluctuations of the craniosacral system, and treat any imbalances. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle and gentle therapy, which is deeply effective in helping restore the natural balance of the body.
